Eagles hold off Falcons to begin title defence

During a halftime of the NFL's opening night game between the Eagles and Falcons, there was a third bird in the stadium at halftime: the boo bird.

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Ronald Darby pushes Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones out of bounds on the final play of the game at Lincoln Financial Field.

Jones dominated the game for the Falcons, making up for 67.33% of Matt Ryan's total passing yardage. We knew we could probably get them in man coverage at that time.

It's finally here, and while the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles may not have played the most aesthetically-pleasing game last night, it was nice to see real NFL football back on the football field and on the television screen.

The Falcons were able to move the ball well in between the sticks but once they reached the red zone, it seemed as though nothing would work.

South Africa Enters Technical Recession
However, that was not enough to lift overall economic growth out of negative territory, the agency said. A recession is widely defined as two or more consecutive quarters of contraction.

After the game, Pederson shared name the name of the play that is sure to sit well with Eagles fans.

The league might have a problem on its hands, because one of the top-rated defenses from 2017 is looking as ferocious as ever, and is oozing with confidence coming off a championship run that has armed them with valuable experience.

"We put a big emphasis on red zone". We just do our jobs and trust our matchups.

Falcons safety Keanu Neal left in the third quarter with a knee injury and did not return, after first hurting the knee in the second.

The ending between that contest and last night's game were nearly identical. New England has won the AFC East in 15 of the last 17 seasons and has made eight Super Bowl trips during the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era, winning the title on five occasions. One, last night's game peaked with a 14.8/25 in the 9:30 - 9:45 PM ET period during the first quarter, which says a lot about viewership patterns. The running game was nearly non-existent for the Eagles as well.
