Thai cave boys: Ordeal re-enacted at Bangkok’s Siam Paragon mall

Elon Musk has renewed his attacks on a British diver involved in the Thailand cave rescue operation, this time claiming in an email that the man is a "child rapist".

Though Musk prefaced both emails with "off the record" and "on background", these conditions have to be agreed upon between a journalist and a source before information is exchanged.

Musk first called diver Vern Unsworth a "pedo" in a tweet in July after the explorer dismissed the billionaire's offer to help save the boys with a submarine.

In July he deleted the tweets but last week he appeared to repeat his allegation, tweeting that it was "strange he hasn't sued me" after Mr Unsworth said he was considering legal action.

The matter was revived last week, when Musk - asked about the threat of a libel suit - doubled down on his accusations, suggesting in emails to the news website BuzzFeed that Unsworth was a "child rapist".

Unsworth's attorney reportedly said Musk's conduct "demonstrates that his recklessness is intentional and created to harm Mr. Unsworth", and a civil complaint has been prepped.

He asserted that the city was "renowned for child sex-trafficking".

Musk's obsession with 63-year-old Vernon Unsworth began in July after the last member of the soccer team had finally been plucked from the cave, ending a almost three-week ordeal that captivated the world.

Denmark Are Playing A Team Of Unknowns For Slovakia Clash
According to Danish tabloid BT, the DBU is now considering sending members of country's futsal team to Slovakia. The dispute is chiefly over the rights of players , including Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen .

That period ended after the New York Times published an interview in which Musk, who owns about one-fifth of Tesla, described severe stress he faced running the Palo Alto, California-based company.

Musk had volunteered to design a mini-submarine to extract the team, but it ultimately was not used.

The prominent short-seller Andrew Left has sued Tesla and its chief executive Elon Musk, saying Musk fraudulently engineered his since-abandoned plan to take Tesla private to "burn" investors hoping the electric vehicle company's stock price would fall.

Mr Kennedy confirmed that Mr Unsworth was in a relationship with Woranan Ratrawiphukkun, a Thai woman who told Buzzfeed she was 40 and had been in a relationship with Mr Unsworth for seven years.

Mr Musk is chief executive of Tesla, the $48 billion electric vehicle and battery maker.

Tesla shares were down 4.2 percent Tuesday.

At time of publication, neither Musk nor the Tesla board had yet publicly addressed BuzzFeed's claims. Their reporting has not yet turned up any evidence of a criminal record for Unsworth in the United Kingdom, while a Thai official said it was highly unlikely Unsworth, who has lived in Thailand on-and-off for years, would be granted a visa if there was evidence he was a child abuser.
