Manchester United have rejected a bid from Barcelona for the services of Paul Pogba according to reliable reports in Italy this evening.

According to an ESPN report, the 25-year-old French worldwide has become "unsettled" at Manchester United, in large part due to public criticism he received from manager Jose Mourinho over the summer. It is interesting to add that unless Mourinho is able to secure an apt replacement for him in the few days that remain, a deal in this window seems unlikely. In spite of Mourinho telling the press that all is well between them, these recent rumours have proved otherwise.

Pogba, who played a vital role in France's 2018 FIFA World Cup-winning campaign, made 37 appearances for the Old Trafford club last season, scoring six goals and assisting a further 12 strikes.

It would certainly be a shock for everyone if this happens.

In an interview with ESPN FC two weeks ago, Mourinho questioned why Pogba's performances in Russian Federation were so much better than his displays for United last season. Hence, United might consider pondering over this offer.

Saudi Arabia orders all of its foreign university students to leave Canada
Canada has said it is "gravely concerned" about the arrests and has called for those detained to be released immediately. Riyadh on Sunday recalled its ambassador from Canada and gave the Canadian ambassador to Saudi Arabia 24 hours to leave.

Paul Pogba has told team-mates he wants to leave Manchester United, according to The Mail.

The Portuguese is open to selling a player that he criticised for not returning to the United's pre-season tour of the United States after the birth of his second child.

"Mourinho is the best manager I've ever worked with".

Transfer expert Ian McGarry told the Daily Star that United boss Mourinho should give Pogba an ultimatum before the first game of the season, against Leicester on Friday evening. The Ghanaian has gone AWOL since the club's relegation, but a move may not be likely given the Welsh club are demanding £12m to sell. Pogba also is believed to be open to the move.

As well as Pogba, the United hierarchy are also understood to be keen to keep unsettled forward Anthony Martial despite well-documented tension between him and Mourinho.
