Angelina Jolie wants divorce finalised by end of 2018

Reps for Pitt did not immediately return InStyle's request for comment.

Jolie claims there was an "informal agreement" for child support, but the Fight Club actor has not honored it. Jolie's team didn't define what constituted as a "meaningful" child-support payment.

The "Maleficent" actress cited irreconcilable differences in her initial filling in 2016, following an alleged incident of child abuse on a private jet, involving Pitt.

So, she wants the judge to issue a retroactive formal order of child support against Pitt to force him to pay up.

Pitt was later provided with cell phone numbers for each child, in order to text and call them without Jolie's supervision.

In June, however, the court ordered Jolie to help fix Pitt's relationships with his children, as "not having a relationship with their father is harmful to them".

TMZ says that Brad "has given her "way, way more" than the amount he agreed to pay ... we're told the total is in the millions of dollars".

A source familiar with the situation told InStyle, "Brad fulfills his commitments".

The insider told People magazine: "The filing today was only intended for the marriage to be dissolved, and before everything else can be dissolved, things have to be done by both parties, including financial disclosure and child support".

"The dissolution of the marriage will help everyone to move forward as a family and work together as co-parents, which is something she is is fully committed to", the source continues.

Angelina Jolie is reportedly accusing Brad Pitt of avoiding his child support payments based on their informal arrangement.

The latest news comes after a spokesperson for the actress slammed reports suggesting she was parting ways with her attorney during a crucial juncture in her custody battle.

Sources close to Pitt told Page Six that Jolie made the court filing as part of a smear campaign to tarnish her estranged husband's reputation after he chose to re-start the formal divorce process.
