Trump Sees No Reason to Believe Russia Behind Election Meddling

Donald Trump's press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of "high crimes & misdemeanors". Intelligence officials publicly broke from the president's comments about Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign. Just that both parties wanted to have one. "My people came to me, [Director of National Intelligence] Dan Coats came to me, some others, they said they think it's Russia", Trump said. The president noted that he has repeatedly said he'd like to improve relations with Russian Federation. Putin's offer to have his own intelligence officials probe themselves was generally seen as an attempt to subtly mock the United States, since no one believes the GRU would fairly investigate its own activities. It could be blackmail, it could be ideological alignment, it could be payback for helping win the election, or it could just be the fact that Trump has had a giant crush on Putin for years and years (or some combination thereof).

US President Donald Trump (left) and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a joint news conference after their meeting in Helsinki. Putin wondered, stating that both presidents advocate the interests of their own countries in the first instance. "They all still have to come to Russian Federation". He wrote: "'Clearly, a civilization that feels guilty for everything it is and does will lack the energy and conviction to defend itself.' With the election of Ronald Reagan, the American people declared to the world that we have the necessary energy and conviction to defend ourselves".

Always seeing the U.S. investigation into Moscow's interference as casting doubt on the legitimacy of his 2016 election victory, Trump said that while American intelligence blamed Russian Federation, he gave credence to Putin's "extremely strong and powerful" denial.

Putin was in the driver's seat during the news conference - speaking first and easily parrying with reporters. As Trump concluded his remarks, the pair turned towards each other and shook hands.

Trump then trashed the Mueller probe, which recently indicted 12 Russian agents for interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, calling it "a disaster for our country".

Trump appeared to be convinced by Russia's President.

Trump went on to claim the Mueller probe was part of a pattern of "stupidity" that hurt US relations with Russian Federation.

Regarding Iran, Putin chastised the USA president for weakening the Iran nuclear deal.

Russians charged in DNC hacking case
The Russians hit more than 300 people connected to the Clinton campaign and Democratic political groups. Whoever says we are foes is spreading fake news", Mr Tusk said on Twitter .

"I accept our intelligence community's conclusion that Russia's meddling in the 2016 election took place", Trump stated.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat from MA, said Trump embarrassed the US. "He continued to maintain that it was illegal to annex it".

"Where is the server?" the president asked in a rambling statement. He added: "Please get this rubbish out of your heads".

U.S. Senator Ben Sasse issued the following statement, specifically regarding President Trump's statement that he holds "both countries responsible" for the deteriorated relationship between the United States and Russian Federation.

The Russian foreign ministry tweeted back: "We agree".

The senator also tweeted that he would check the gifted soccer ball for "listening devices and never allow it in the White House".

Both the United States and Kremlin leaders have furiously denied Trump's campaign colluded with Russian Federation. Then the USA president tossed the ball to his wife, Melania, sitting in the front row. He also attacked his Democratic opponents and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and said he holds both countries accountable for their state of relations while asked about the election meddling.
