Motorola Announces Moto E5 Play with Android Go Software

While the Moto E5 Play started out as a United States exclusive smartphone, it is now launching in European and Latin American countries, but this time it runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) instead of the full Android Oreo. The Go edition was first announced at Google I/O 2017 and it meant for low-end devices that run with 512MB to 1GB of memory.

The device has a slightly larger screen than the full Android variant, bringing 5.3 inches in the 18: 9 aspect, instead of the 5.2 inches of the variant already presented. Motorola's phones are known for being cost-efficient in themselves, so the introduction of a Go smartphone is bound to get them a significantly big set of customers. That compares to the regular E5 Play, which sports a 5.2-inch display with a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio and 720p resolution. Under the hood, the phone is backed by a Snapdragon 425 chipset paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be extended further up to 128GB via microSD card.

Motorola announced the Moto E5 series, including the Moto E5 Play smartphone recently. Both have LED flash. The battery capacity has been trimmed down to 2,100mAh from the 2,800mAh as found in E5 Play regular variant. It is also splash proof with the p2i water repellent coating. The battery on the device can be similar to the original United States model of the Moto E5 Play which packs a 2800mAh battery. To further sweeten the deal, the Go version is also likely to have a fingerprint sensor placed neatly below the Motorola logo on the back of the phone, just like its regular trim.

Trump advised May to quit negotiating and "sue the EU"
On July 12, the government published its long-anticipated White Paper on the UK's post-Brexit relations with the EU. In any rational world this would go back to the people for resolution", he said.

Its connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, 3G, HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB.

As mentioned in the beginning, the Android Go version of the E5 Play will launch in Europe and Latin America sometime this month.
