SUNDAY | Scattered shower and storm chances.
We could have a few lingering showers around early Tuesday morning, otherwise, clouds will gradually decrease and more pleasant air mass moves in.
We had a short a heat wave over the weekend with highs hitting 90 degrees in Allentown on Friday and Saturday, but after the storm and rain Sunday morning temperatures couldn't recover past the mid 80s. Wind: E/SE 5-10. High: 88.
Tuesday is not a washout but I do think many cities & towns (especially west of I-95) will get tagged by rain in some fashion. Winds NE/E around 5 miles per hour. The good news is the risk for severe weather is very low (although not impossible on some of the stronger storms but with model differences, uncertainty remains) with lightning and locally heavy rain the main hazard.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible Wednesday through Friday.
Protests Erupt In Chicago After Police Shooting
The department for years has faced scrutiny for disproportionately using deadly force in black and Latino neighborhoods. Police initially said he lunged at an officer with a knife when he was shot, but videos contradicted those claims.
Wednesday Night.Partly cloudy. showers/storms possible.
The cold front passes through the state Tuesday night, and the threat of showers and storms should end by midnight or shortly after.
Thursday. Partly cloudy. Showers/storms possible. Because of the limited sunshine, highs will only get into the low 80s. High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 90s.
The rest of the week will be far more comfortable, featuring mostly sunny skies and lower humidity.
