The other new thing that Xiaomi unveiled today, is the next iteration of its Android tablet line, the Mi Pad 4. Mi Pad 4 also has face unlock feature. It's now only possible to pre-order both devices, but Xiaomi's site states that the Redmi 6 Pro will go on sale June 25 at 10:00.

There's not much else to praise about the Redmi 6 Pro other than its 4000 mAh battery, and the dedicated dual SIM and MicroSD slots.

In China, the base 3GB RAM + 32GB storage model is going for 999CNY (about RM613) while the 4GB RAM + 32GB storage option is priced at 1,199CNY (about RM735).

Connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.2, 4G VoLTE, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi 802.11, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone will be available starting tomorrow, June 26.

The device is available in Gold, Blue, Black, Rose Gold, Black, and Red. It's powered by a Snapdragon 625, which is all sorts of shocking at this point. There is also an LTE version that will retail for 1499 yuan ($230). The top-tier model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, on the other hand, costs 1,299 yuan or US$199.
