In addition to the front camera, the section also includes a 3D facial recognition system to enable to a much more secure face unlock feature. The phone features a bezel-less, notch-less all-display screen and comes at a price of 999 euros.
It said that the 3D structured light module in Find X can project 15,000 dots, building a precise and complete 3D module of a user's face, and then compares with the registered face of the owner to unlock.
Unlike, say, a Sidekick's flip-twist mechanism, though, or the slide of the venerable Nokia N95, Oppo opted to make the Find X's pop-out camera array motorized.
The Find X checks all the boxes for the high-end 2018 smartphone, including Qualcomm's top-of-the-line Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage, VOOC fast charging, and a 3,730mAh battery. It runs on ColorOS 5.1, which is based on Android 8.1. For that, the phone comes with carbon texture finish at the back and features styling very similar to the supercar company. The company claims that it takes only half a second to close and open the slider. The Oppo didn't mention an exact launch date for the Lamborghini edition device, but Oppo Find X is expected to launch on July 12.
Oppo Find X the next to kill Apple’s notch
According to The Verge, customers in China will be able to make their orders starting today, it will also be available in North America and Europe, while an Asian launch can also be anticipated. Unlike many Android OEMs that have begun embracing the notch-style display, Oppo has pushed the envelope with a motorised slider at the top that comes out while launching the front or rear camera. As for the selfies and video calling, the Find X has been equipped with a 25-megapixel camera on the front panel. The latest entry is Oppo's clever new design for its Find X handset.
In general, the price tag that OPPO has put on Find X is quite hefty indeed. It's powered by a 3,730mAh battery and offers two SIM card slots as standard, and it boasts fast-charging technology. The launch event worked as a seal of confirmation for all the leaked specs that were ultimately proven right. There's also the question of durability: You have to wonder how many times the electric motor powering the slide-out mechanism can do its thing before it breaks; for a heavy phone user like me, we're talking dozens if not hundreds of slide-outs a day. Along with that, the Oppo Find X Lamborghini edition also sports a massive 512GB of storage.
The rear duo are a 16MP (f/2.0) primary and 20MP (f/2.2) secondary, with OIS support. It also carries Huawei-inspired AI-enhanced object and scene detection feature that tweaks camera settings automatically.
