However Liverpool have made significant progress in their pursuit of the Ligue 1 side's captain, who is keen to join the Champions League finalists.

"Talks between the clubs could conclude on Friday about a deal that may amount to 60m euros", reported the BBC.

According to The Guardian, "Fekir is due to undergo a Liverpool medical at Clairefontaine, the France national team's training base, before signing terms on Friday".

Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in the French worldwide - but Liverpool are now in the driving seat.

SpaceX postpones the Falcon 9 rocket launch to June 4
If this launch of SpaceX would not have taken place on Monday, the following window was scheduled for Tuesday, 5 June. After extensive tests and checkout, the spacecraft is expected to enter operational service early next year.

It seemed like a deal would not be agreed before the World Cup because Lyon were hoping that an impressive display in Russian Federation would inflate Fekir's price tag.

The Frenchman is set to become Liverpool's second signing of the summer following the £44m purchase of Monaco ace Fabinho.

Fekir is due to fly to Russian Federation with France's World Cup squad after their game against the United States of America on Saturday.

Liverpool are also now being linked with Stoke City's Xherdan Shaqiri and The Independent state that the Reds "are primed to seal at least one new signing in the next 24 hours".

The Reds are also considering whether to active the £12m release clause in Xherdan Shaqiri's contract as he is poised to leave Stoke City following their relegation to the Championship.
