Meghan Markle's wedding week has hit another snag - her half-sister has been hospitalised with a broken ankle and fractured knee.
Meghan Markle wanted her estranged half-sister to remain quiet in the days leading up to her royal wedding Saturday at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle, but that's not going to happen.
Samantha and her boyfriend, a man named Mark, were at a Florida tollbooth when an alleged paparazzi photographer got in front of their vehicle to take a shot.
Mark says he swerved the auto to avoid the photographers but hit a concrete barrier, causing Samantha to hit the car's windshield before falling to the floor.
The paparazzo fled the scene, and E.R. doctors are now treating Samantha. Meghan's sister, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, reportedly twisted her foot during the accident.
"This is a deeply personal moment for Ms. Markle in the days before her wedding", the spokesman told PEOPLE.
The ex-model has been criticised for making a string of waspish comments about Meghan since her engagement to Prince Harry.
There's been no update from the palace on the latest developments or who, if Thomas does not attend, will walk Meghan down the aisle. Mark says he drove her straight to the ER.

Her hospitalization and her rant comes just one day after Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, was admitted to hospital for heart surgery.
Thomas Markle told TMZ that Meghan had contacted him on Tuesday - first by phone, and then by text, and expressed her love and support after he pulled out of her nuptials.
Samantha struck the windshield during the crash and was shot onto the floor.
She continued, "So I said, really you need to show the world that you're getting in shape and doing great healthy things".
"She's way out of her league to tell me I can't speak", she told TMZ.
"There's no bigger media vulture with this wedding than you", he said.
She is reportedly writing a book called "The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister".
Robinson Cano suspended for 80 games
He is making $24 million this season, so the expected almost 50 percent of his 2018 pay is now going away with the suspension. Cano, 35, tested positive for furosemide , a diuretic that is often used to help mask banned substances in urine tests.
