Lows will be in the upper 60s with south winds 5 to 10 miles per hour. Better chances for showers and storms come Monday night and Tuesday.

Another round develops near I-80 later this evening and will track to the east overnight.

Those showers will peter out in the afternoon and we could see a peek or two of sunshine.

Sunday: A 20 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m., high near 68. Northeast wind 8 to 13 miles per hour.

A heavy rain fell this morning in Wyandotte County, which will leave warm, dry and windy weather for the afternoon, according to the weather service. Monday night will be cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms. Even with the periodic rain chances, it'll continue to stay on the warm side with high temperatures primarily in the 80s. East winds will gust as high as 25 miles per hour.

In other words, showers and storms will pop during the day's hottest hours.

We could see record-breaking temperatures on Saturday with the chance for severe thunderstorms in the late afternoon and into the evening. Lows will be in the upper 60s with a 30 percent chance of rain. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s.

WEST MICHIGAN -We will have rain showers and storms moving out of West Michigan leaving us with mostly to partly cloudy sky. Forecast models indicate the likelihood of thunderstorms for Friday.

Next week is on track to start out mild, with temperatures back to the mid to high 70s for most. Thursday is looking like a transition day as some stray showers arrive.
