Well, the star tight end finally provided clarity on the situation Tuesday when he announced he'd be playing for the New England Patriots in the upcoming campaign.

New England Patriots fans can expect to get Tom Brady back in 2018 and beyond, according to the veteran quarterback's agent.

Gronkowski wrote on Instagram on Tuesday he has been working out and staying in shape despite not being a part of the start of the Patriots' offseason program. The decision ends speculation that he could retire. While Gronkowski seemed to playfully hint that he would be back for 2018, he failed to offer any concrete confirmation on his playing status.
