Claire Danes Confirms 'Homeland' Season 8 To Be The Last


"It is, I haven't told anyone", Danes replied.

Star Claire Danes has confirmed the news in an interview with Howard Stern on his Sirius XM show.

According to Homeland star Claire Danes, the Showtime series will end after Season 8. "I'm deep into the second trimester".

"Was this planned or are we having a surprise?"

But she did joke that if it's a girl, they could name the little one "Howardina", after Stern. They welcomed their first child, a son named Cyrus, in 2012.

In 2016, Danes opened up about parenting while speaking to E! Interestingly enough, the actress was roughly halfway through her pregnancy when she announced the news.

However, he did reveal that, "I will say that in just a pie in the sky, we would all love to take this show back to Israel for that final season".

In 2015, the actress spoke about her son to The Edit, sharing that she enjoys watching Cyrus grow. "It's fun to see the world with him, to get his feedback on what we're seeing".

What has always been suspected is now seemingly official: Homeland season 8 is poised to be the final iteration of the series on Showtime.

Danes noted that she feels "incredible security" being a spouse, adding, "It's a huge asset to have a partnership with someone you trust and admire, and want to make out with".

The radio mogul asked her to reveal the baby's sex, humorously hinting that he'd welcome another exclusivity.
