Two people are dead following a plane crash in Parmer County Sunday evening.
A ground search was conducted, and a DPS aircraft located the plane around eight miles west of Friona.
The FAA said the Experimental Challenger II aircraft took off from a private airstrip around 8:00 p.m.
According to ABC affiliate WVAW, firefighters would only confirm that authorities are investigating a plane crash. The victim's identity has not been released by Virginia State Police pending formal identification and notification of family.
