Western Pa. flood watch remains in effect until Monday morning

The Grand River Conservation Authority has issued a Flood Watch ahead of the messy weather expected throughout the watershed this weekend. Moderate to heavy rain showers that will be moving in overnight and the potential for flooding is there for the entire Mahoning Valley.

Kauai remains under a flash flood warning until 10:45 a.m.

The National Weather Service in BLACKSBURG has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Eastern Pulaski County, The City of Radford, Floyd County, and Montgomery County Until 730 PM EDT.

Residents in flood-prone areas are advised to be on the alert for flooding conditions.

One more surge of showers and thunderstorms will push through the area this evening into Sunday morning, forecasters said, bringing a possible 2 to 4 inches of rain with some areas seeing as much as 6 inches of rainfall. He expects the main stem rivers like the Otter Creek and Winooski River to rise several feet, but water levels should stay within the banks.

More than two inches of rain is expected to fall across Trumbull County in the next 12 hours.
