Bucks open playoff series against Celtics Sunday

The Bucks, who have not won an National Basketball Association playoff series since 2001, have been losers in seven consecutive first-round playoff series.

Stevens said he plans to have a lot of different people on him, but the main man will be Al Horford, as he said: "We have to throw a lot of different bodies at him". It's the first playoff meeting between the Bucks and Celtics since 1987, when Boston won a seven-game series in the East semifinals.

Middleton scored 31 points, while Antetokounmpo had 29 points and 11 rebounds for the Bucks.

The two sides are pretty evenly matched on the court, despite the injuries of Hayward and Irving for the Celtics, with maybe Milwaukee having an edge, but the main difference between the two teams is the coaching.

As for tickets, the Bucks say their first two home games are nearly sold out. Brogdon collected the rebound and found Tony Snell, who missed a corner 3-pointer with 21.9 on the clock.

The three-pointer came just seconds after Celtics reserve guard Terry Rozier hit a massive step-back three that seemed to put the game away.

Antetokounmpo got free for a dunk, But Horford was steady again after being fouled, connecting on two more from the line with 15.2 seconds left. The last few seconds of the regulation tilt were extremely interesting as first Terry Rozier scored a triple to give the Celtics a 3-point lead with just 0.5 seconds remaining, but when everybody expected that was it, Khris Middleton made a three from near midcourt to send the game to overtime.

While he's definitely out to start this playoff series, Sunday's shooting display was a clear indication that Smart's return is drawing near - potentially at some point in this series. But couldn't get it as Middleton knocked down a bomb at the buzzer to force overtime.

Bucks: Outscored the Celtics 58-44 in the paint.

Smart said he now has a smaller splint which helps keep the thumb from bending in a way that might result in it being re-injured.
