Epic Games has brought Fortnite's free-to-play battle royale mode to mobile, and though access to the game now requires an invite from Epic, Venture Beat reports that Fortnite Battle Royale has already climbed to the top of the iPhone's Top Free Apps chart. When your turn to get into the game comes up, you'll receive an email containing a link to download the game from the App Store. Some sources are reporting that Fortnite Mobile is compatible with iOS 11, but that's not technically the case.
Fortnite was initially played on consoles like Xbox and personal computers, now its making history as one of the few console games to make the successful transition onto your phone.
Fortnite publisher Epic Games upped demand of the cell phone version of the game by making the download invite only, "those are being very sparingly handed out", Shankman explained.

Once the game is downloaded, on the home screen you'll see a message which will ask if you have signed up already. It seems a large number of fans have been lucky enough to get one, but a handful have been left heartbroken after discovering they can't play it.
