Almost 600000 pacifier, teether holders recalled due to possible choking hazard


AUSTIN (WCMH) - AUSTIN (WCMH) - More than 600,000 pacifier and teether holders have been recalled due to a choking hazard.

The recall was issued Thursday night.

The recall was made on approximately 590,000 Dr. The designs involved with the recall are the giraffe, zebra, turtle, deer, bunny and special holiday-edition reindeer, frog and Spring bunny. The lot codes are printed on the tag attached to the holder.

While there haven't been injuries there have been 67 reports of the ribbon fraying and the snap detaching.

When your turn to get into the game comes up, you'll receive an email containing a link to download the game from the App Store. Once the game is downloaded, on the home screen you'll see a message which will ask if you have signed up already.

Affected lot codes include: RICH0615, 0715, 0815, 1215, 0516, 0616, 0716, 1116, 1016, 0916, 1216, 0317, 0417, 0517, 0617, 0717 and 0817.

Those who've purchased these products should immediately take them away from young children and contact Handi-Craft for further instructions to receive replacement products or comparable merchandise of equal or lesser value.

The products were sold at several stores, including Walmart, Target, K-Mart and Toys 'R Us/Babies 'R Us, and online at, from August 2015 to March 2018 for about $10.

The teething products were imported by Handi-Craft and manufactured by Yangzhou Rich Arts and Crafts China.
