The satire takes on several social issues including misogyny, drugs, racism, corporatism, feminism, community, assimilation, unionization, gentrification, and code-switching, among others. Armed with this new skill, he becomes a rising star at his company - much to the chagrin of his activist girlfriend, Detroit (Tessa Thompson).
