"We had served a show-cause notice to Drabu Sunday to which he did not reply", a senior PDP minister told ThePrint. "It is the day when we have to reiterate the pledge to take the ongoing freedom struggle to its logical conclusion".
A day after PDP MLC Surinder Choudhary tendered his resignation over demand of appointment of ADC for Sunderbani Constituency, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday removed Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu from her cabinet for his remarks on Kashmir.
They also paid glorious tributes to youth martyred by troops in Hakura, Islamabad, and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
"If his statement is accepted or deemed to be a stand of the party, then it shakes very foundation of PDP".
"Don't see Jammu and Kashmir as a conflict state and a political issue, it is a society which has social issues right now".

Drabu's remarks had come under fire from both mainstream and separatist leaders. A person aware of development said that a formal announcement was imminent.
Speaking at an event themed "Kashmir: the way forward", Drabu asked the people to "introspect" over the nature and origins of the situation in the state and how it can be resolved.
"We seriously need to look at in terms of how it is a society that is in search for itself", he said at the event organised by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also emerged as a frontrunner for the post of chief minister after the demise of late PDP president Mufti Muhammad Saeed in December 2015. While Mehbooba was toying with the idea of forming government with BJP, a few PDP leaders were reportedly planning to cross over to BJP.
