Diaz, who hasn't appeared in a feature film since 2014's back-to-back flops Sex Tape and Annie, previously spoke about why she took a step away from Hollywood.
CAMERON Diaz has reportedly retired from acting at 45-years-old to spend more time with husband Benji Madden, 39. Over lunch with her bud Diaz, Blair said she floated the idea of filming a sequel to "Sweetest Thing", the 2002 rom-com in which they co-starred.
According to her pal Selma Blair, the actress, 45, has said she is "done" with the film industry and has no plans to return the big screen.
'I would have liked to do a sequel but Cameron's retired from acting, she's like "I'm done".
"I mean, she doesn't need to make any more films, she has a pretty great life", Blair said of Diaz's current situation.

She's been a part of some of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters, with her acting being a huge contributing factor to big films like There's Something About Mary, Shrek, The Mask, The Holiday and My Best Friend's Wedding.
Diaz and Madden met in 2014 after being introduced by Nicole Richie and married seven months later in an intimate ceremony at the actress's Beverly Hills home. As much as we all love Rupert Everett's rendition of "I Say A Little Prayer" in the 1997 romantic comedy, it is so hard to resist falling for Diaz when she sings "I Just Don't Know What to Do with Myself" at karaoke.
While she is constantly being called on by directors and given film scripts, she's simply not interested.
Another source close to the actress hinted earlier this year that she's also ready to become a mother.
She said: "We are so different from one another, but we share the same values. We are both just weird enough for each other". A source told the magazine, "She would love more than anything to be a mom". They aren't really thinking past the first one at this point.
