NEP Group units help NBC provide coverage from three venues

This is the first time that NBC will broadcast Olympics video content outside of its own properties.

You may say you don't care, but at every turn until the closing ceremony in a little more than two weeks the implicit message from NBC will be: Are you sure? You may well stumble headlong into customized Olympics content from NBC, thanks to its partnership with Intersection, a company with digital displays in Chicago and other cities.

Snapchat is getting a livestreaming video feature but it will not be available to regular users, it's only available for Snapchat's publishing partners.

FuboTV has also launched a new feature, updating its Sports navigation bar to include a breakdown of Olympic programming, sorted by sport, in order to help viewers find specific live events more easily.

NBC is the first TV broadcast partner Snap is collaborating with on the new Live feature, which isn't surprising considering that NBCUniversal has invested $500 million in Snap and created content for Snapchat at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics.

By providing unprecedented VDS coverage, NBC's presentation of the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics will be more accessible than any previous Winter Games.

NBC's coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics is supported by NEP Group, who's providing mobile broadcasting, engineering consultation and technical support for the games.

Game Creek Video will be at the center of NBC Olympics alpine coverage of athletes like US superstar Lindsey Vonn.

Whether any of this can make the biathlon's guns-and-skis competition as irresistible as freshly baked chocolate chip cookies remains to be seen.
