'Dark Souls' Runs At 1080P, 30 FPS When Docked On Nintendo Switch

This was followed by a tweet from publisher Bandai Namco on its Spanish account, stating that Dark Souls Remastered is set to arrive on May 25th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC as well as the Nintendo Switch.

We take advantage of the fact that we talked about Dark Souls Remastered to tell you that there will be a package that will include the complete trilogy of PS4 and other collectibles.

For the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game, Dark Souls: Remastered will run at 1080p will at a a solid 60 fps.

Though it's unclear just how Dark Souls: Remastered will perform undocked, my bet is that the Switch will run it at a standard 720p 30 fps (which isn't bad). Even the current PC port isn't the best, so to finally be able to see this game in its intended glory is all I really need. The box features Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades Edition, soundtracks, knight and bonfire bookends, an encyclopedia, and a special art set.

One of our sources indicates that Bandai Namco plans to bring all three Dark Souls games to Switch eventually, but the oft-rumoured "trilogy" bundle is not how this will be happening - yet. Both were well received by fans and critics.

Dark Souls Remastered is set to launch on May 25th for the PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. It's now awaiting a rating from the ESRB, though all previous Souls games have been rated M for Mature for Blood and Violence.
