Big Brother star Rebekah Shelton not dead after 'hack'

Paying tribute, former Big Brother's Bit On The Side host hailed Shelton as a 'lovely lady'.

The Brazilian, 32, who changed her name from Rodrigo Lopes after a sex change in 2014, featured on the reality TV show in 2009.

A statement on her Twitter account on the early hours of Friday morning (12 January) announced the tragic news that she had died "unexpectedly" two days earlier.

A tweet from former Big Brother housemate Rebekah Shelton yesterday claimed that the star had died.

'We ask that you respect the family's privacy at this time'.

"I'm so sorry", replied one Twitter user.
