3 children and 1 adult killed in Brooklyn house fire: FDNY

A mother and three of her young children were killed early Monday morning when a fire broke out in their Brooklyn apartment. The victims are all members of the same family.

Police said the four people killed were a 40-year-old woman, an 11-year-old boy, a 7-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl.

Two of the injured suffered serious injuries and eight others, including some of the firefighters, suffered minor injuries.

The fire broke out shortly after 2 a.m.in a home on East 14th Street in Sheepshead Bay.

Fire officials are still investigating what caused the fire to break out.
