Spurlock's 'Super Size Me' sequel pulled from Sundance fest


Declaring "I am part of the problem", Spurlock confessed in an online post Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, to sexual harassment, infidelity and said a woman accused him of rape in college. "I am part of the problem", he said. "SpringHill Entertainment will be canceling its production agreement with Morgan Spurlock and Warrior Poets". In his telling of the events, a night of drinking led to a one-night stand with a young woman who, "said she didn't want to have sex".

In a statement issued on Thursday by production company Warrior Poets, which he co-founded in 2004, partners Jeremy Chilnick and Matthew Galkin said: "Morgan Spurlock will be stepping down effective immediately".

Spurlock says he called his female assistant "hot pants" and "sex pants" in the office, which was "something I thought was amusing at the time". I thought I was doing okay, I believed she was feeling better.

Producers of another documentary set to premiere at Sundance next month also said Friday they were distancing themselves from Spurlock.

He added: "When she chose to quit, she came to me and said if I didn't pay her a settlement, she would tell everyone".

The 47-year-old added that he has "been unfaithful to every wife and girlfriend I have ever had". And in separate Sundance news, the filmmakers behind the upcoming documentary The Devil You Know announced that they would be ending the film's association with Spurlock.

Calling himself "someone who consistently hurts those closest to me", he wrote that "I have helped create a world of disrespect through my own actions".

The I Promise school, which will focus on at-risk students in Akron, is scheduled to open next fall.
