The reaction comes three days after the former vice president announced that he was returning to the PDP, following his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) last month.
Making reference to the party's constitution over his eligibility to vote at the convention, the party noted that Atiku would however be allowed to attend and address party members at the convention.
He said, "I have here the chairman of the caretaker committee, former chairman of Kaduna State, the chairman of convention planning committee, the governor of Delta State with the offcials for the convention".
"A person, who desires to rejoin the party after leaving it shall apply to his Ward Secretary for re-admission; and unless given a waiver by the National Working Committee, he will be placed on probation for a period of not less than one year". We have credible information that some overzealous elements in the government are trying by any means to disrupt the convention of the PDP; to make sure this convention does not hold successfully.
"PDP will see one of the best conventions like never before. We have to collectively come together to solve the problems of our party".
Mark said that allowing the people's will to prevail will restore the dignity of the party.

According to the Governor, "we are not having challenges as it concerns the convention, we are working to ensure that everything is set, today, we took committee reports and I can tell you that everything is going on smoothly".
He said Rivers State governor, Mr Nyesom Wike, and some PDP governors backing Secondus to emerge as PDP national chairman were doing so for selfish reasons.
He said: "The success story, so far, is a confirmation of series of interaction with leaders and founding members of the party".
