Facebook Messenger boosts Instant Games with live stream and video chat support

It will allow users and friends to watch each other's reaction as they play the game. Beginning today, however, users will be able to livestream their gaming sessions, Venturebeat reports.

Once the broadcast ends, the video will be uploaded to either your Page or Profile depending on where you streamed to.

Along with the streaming features new games from popular franchises and genres will be coming to the application as well. "If somebody has a community, whether that's five or 10 or a thousand people - ten thousand, a million - they're sharing the games they love with the people they care about, which is their community".

As Games on Facebooks Messenger service turns 1-year old, they've taken the wraps off some new features that will get users excited including live streaming of games, multi-player gaming in video chat and of course more games, including the game that's everywhere: Angry Birds. Their faces will appear in the right hand corner of the screen.

Meanwhile, the social media giant also announced additions to "Instant Games" with a handful of big-name mobile titles that will be "re-imagined" for the platform. A new version of the physics game with unique features and modes created specifically for the chat app will launch in early 2018, followed by a few more titles like arcade-style adventure Sonic Jump by SEGA.
