Bayonetta 3 will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive


Tonight at the 2017 Game Awards, Nintendo finally delivered on what Platinum Games teased so long ago: Bayonetta is coming to Nintendo Switch.

Answering the collective prayers of a million action gamers, Nintendo has announced it is once again partnering with Platinum Games for a third Bayonetta game. There's the teaser trailer that's embedded above and confirmation that the game exists.

They didn't show much, but clearly there will be a lot of bullets flying, either in slow motion or in bullet hell style.

With its predecessors arriving in 2018, it could be 2019 or later until Bayonetta 3 makes its way to the Switch. Bayonetta 2 is the physical release, while Bayonetta comes as digital download. That's also happening and will be available at retail in North America from February 16. We remember Nintendo doing this before with the original Bayonetta 2 release on the Wii U. Along with the announcement of Bayonetta ports for Nintendo Switch, he announced something more, something huge.
