76ers trading Jahlil Okafor to the Nets

The 76ers will also send guard Nik Stauskas to the Nets, sources said. The center played in just two games this season, seeing a total of 25 minutes on the floor, and made it clear he wanted out of town on numerous occasions. He has enough upside in Brooklyn to be worth adding while you still can. The Philadelphia 76ers will be sending a trade package revolving around the former No. 3 overall pick to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Trevor Booker, according to an initial report from ESPN's Zach Lowe.

The Sixers had been trying for some time to trade Okafor, whom they acquired with the third overall pick in the 2015 National Basketball Association draft.

The 76ers were finally able to unload Jahlil Okafor.

Olympics: Vonn to snub White House visit for U.S. team
The Olympics are about representing the country, and not the elected officials that run it. It's not exactly as though the president has not done something like this before.

Okafor has appeared in two games for the Sixers this season. "I've done everything they've asked of me and I would just like to get an opportunity to play with a trade or a buyout". He now joins D'Angelo Russell, the No. 2 pick in that draft, on a Nets roster with some intriguing young talent.

The Nets, 9-14 on the season, are now in Mexico City for a couple of games which includes a matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight and a game against the Miami Heat on Saturday.

In Booker, Philadelphia will add a veteran forward averaging 10.1 points and 6.6 rebounds in his eighth National Basketball Association season.
