Publisher Square Enix took to Twitter to announce that a new Tomb Raider game is in the works. The rest sounds like Square Enix embarking on a different approach to release schedules, or something.

They do say "Our journey together will begin with a major event in 2018" either signaling the release window to be next year, or just the announcement is poised to be in the next twelve months. Now that we know even more is on the way, we can't wait to see what else the team has in store for us!
