The actress said there was a moment when all of the allegations against Harvey first surfaced, where her friends and acquaintances told her that it would be best to speak out. The actress said there were moments where he was an "a*shole", and she called him one. "I'll never share that part of myself ever since it got shared against my will.' And then when I said yes to Red Sparrow, I felt I was taking something back". Lawrence said, "Red Sparrow was sexual, and I haven't done anything sexy or sexual".
The 27-year-old actress was honored with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at The Hollywood Reporter's annual Women in Entertainment breakfast in Los Angeles on Wednesday, where she gave a powerful speech about embracing strong female voices, and using her platform to create change.
'He was paternal to me. Winfrey followed up, to which Lawrence responded, "I think so". We all knew he was a dog, we knew that he was. a tough guy, a brute, a tough guy to negotiate with. (Laughter.) I have something to say for all of them. She's committed to health causes, and a year ago, Lawrence donated $2 million to found the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Kosair Children's Hospital in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. I was just like, 'I can't, ' after hearing that.
Lawrence, a board member for the non-profit organization Represent.Us, says she wants to embark on high school and college campus tours throughout the country: "I want to travel around to the areas I'm from so that people realize corruption is a completely nonpartisan issue".

Lawrence's revelations of Weinstein arrive as many notable Hollywood figures, including the actors Kevin Spacey and Ed Westwick, have been accused of sexual misconduct ranging from harassment to rape since an October 5 New York Times exposé detailed allegations going back decades against Weinstein.
