Appearing top on the list as Spotify's most streamed artist of 2017, is Ed Sheeran.
Sheeran's songs were streamed over 6.3 billion times this year, which was enough to beat Drake for the title he previously earned in 2016 and 2015.
The ginger-haired pop guitarist was streamed more than any other artist in the year so far - not a surprise, considering his song "Shape of You", the fourth track on "Divide", reigns as Spotify's most streamed song ever.
Hip-hop star Drake came in second on Spotify in 2017 and rapper Kendrick Lamar was fourth, with R&B singer The Weeknd, a protege of Drake, placing third. Rihanna was the most streamed female of 2017, with Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez next in line.

Taylor Swift's album "Reputation", which was released in November, has surpassed Sheeran's "Divide" in US album sales with more than a million copies sold in the U.S.in the first week, surpassing "Divide's" 919,000 album sales. He is up for two gongs at the 2018 ceremony, however - Best Solo Pop Performance for Shape Of You and Best Pop Vocal Album for Divide.
