Dead & Company Postpones Florida Shows

"Early this morning, Tuesday, December 5th, John Mayer was admitted into the hospital for emergency appendectomy forcing the Dead & Company December 5th concert in New Orleans to be postponed", a statement from his representative said.

John Mayer is reportedly recovering from the emergency appendectomy and according to Dead & Company's social media update "is in good spirits".

Fellow guitarist Bob Weir bid Mayer a speedy recovery via Twitter. Today, D&C announced the final two shows of tour have also been postponed while Mayer recooperates. On Wednesday, the Grateful Dead-ish supergroup confirmed that concerts on Thursday at Orlando's Amway Center and Friday at Sunrise's BB&T Center were among those affected.

So she has a solution: a children's book she's written to school men on the basics of proper conduct, entitled The Handsy Man . Ross opened the show with a little quip about on-screen diversity: "I know what you guys are thinking".
