The report interviews claim how Rose made unwanted sexual advances toward the women while they worked on the Charlie Rose show on PBS. In a third clip, compiling various instances of suggestive talk on the show, Rose said he thought he got a cold "from [costar Norah O'Donnell] last week".

The Washington Post published a story Monday in which 8 women accused the reporter of varying types of misconduct - including groping their breasts, buttocks or genitals, walking around naked in front of them or making lewd phone calls.

In a statement to the Post, Rose said "it is essential that these women know I hear them and that I deeply apologize for my inappropriate behavior".

Rose's PBS show features his in-depth interviews with newsmakers. Currently, he is also a co-host on "CBS This Morning" and a correspondent for "60 Minutes".

The report is a potentially punishing blow to "CBS This Morning", which is the network's most successful morning franchise in its history.

CBS News suspended Charlie Rose and PBS is to halt production and distribution of a show following the sexual harassment report.
