Now, Zendaya is adding to the girl power by collaborating with Witherspoon as a co-producer on an unbelievable new film-and she'll star in it, too.

A White Lie is based on Karin Tanabe's 2016 novel The Gilded Years and will tell the nonfiction story of Anita Hemmings, the first African-American woman to graduate from Vassar College.

Zendaya will take on the role of Anita Hemmings.

The K.C. Undercover actress will also produce the movie alongside Reese Witherspoon through Reese's motion picture company Hello Sunshine, Variety reports. Hemmings passed as a white woman to get her degree.

Our smartwatch could detect hypertension and sleep apnea, a new study reveals
Sleep apnea is a potentially serious sleep disorder largely associated with heavy snoring in which breathing repeatedly stops. Of those people who agreed to take part, sleep apnea was detected in 1,016 people and hypertension in 2,230.

The film will also feature a love story between Hemmings and a Harvard student.

The psychological thriller's script will be penned by Monica Beletsky.

If her brief, scene-stealing appearances in the new Tom Holland-fronted Spider-Man: Homecoming weren't enough of an indicator, Zendaya is very much no longer just one of Disney's multi-hyphenate ingenues. Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter will be producing A White Lie alongside Zendaya. She will next be seen opposite Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron in "The Greatest Showman" as trapeze artist Anne Wheeler.
