Search for young Clare woman missing in France

Eimear Noonan was reported missing by her family last week.

Ms. Noonan, who was working as a teacher in the Annonay region, near Lyon, in France, had been missing since Wednesday. The town in southeastern France is about 45 miles (70km) south of Lyon and close to the French Alps.

A statement on brother Cathal's Facebook page last night confirmed that Eimear's body had been found on Friday morning.

Reeling Florida can't capitalize on SC miscues in fifth straight loss
SC will finish with a winning record in the SEC for only the eight time since joining the league in 1992. Florida played without about 25 percent of its scholarship players because of injuries or suspensions.

Her family described her as a "warm, bubbly person" who was a talented violinist.

Eimear's body was discovered during searches of the area, and it is believed that the young Caher woman died following a fall while out running.

The family added that they will be "forever grateful" for the support they had received following Eimear's disappearance. We would like to thank the Irish and French authorities and the people of Annonay for the kindness and compassion they have shown us.
