Kristaps Porzingis, Knicks Defend Frank Ntilikina After LeBron James Comments

The Cavaliers take on the Knicks at the Garden Monday night. They needed James to make some clutch plays toward the end to seal the victory.

Dennis Smith Jr.is being considered as the steal of this year's draft as he surprisingly fell to number nine and was selected by the Dallas Mavericks. "He should be a Knick".

"I don't know why he made those comments", Porzingis said.

Smith is averaging 14.8 points, 5.1 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game, although he's struggling with efficiency with a 46.8 effective field goal percentage.

Of course, that comment was seen as a dig at the Knicks and perhaps former team president Phil Jackson. While effusive in his praise of Smith, James also slid in a remark that the NC State product should be a member of the New York Knicks. We love what we got... He went one pick after the Knicks picked point guard Frank Ntilikina out of Ixelles, Belgium.

Week 10: New England Patriots at Denver Broncos
In the absence of Hogan, receiver Phillip Dorsett is a top candidate to play more snaps alongside No. 1 receiver Brandin Cooks. New England kicks off a stretch with five of their next six games on the road Sunday night.

"Yeah, Frank told me he was anxious that the pass was too high", Porzingis said.

With Porzingis going the extra length with his maturation process, it could be an encouraging sign of what may come over the next decade or so for the Knicks.

Notes & quotes: Forward Mindaugas Kuzminskas was waived to make room for center Joakim Noah's return from his suspension. The team has been investigating possible trades, but there is a possibility that the team will have to waive a player.

Thus, while Dennis Smith Jr. may be on his way to an outstanding career, the New York Knicks love what they got in Frank Ntilikina.

If the Knicks waive Sessions it does put a lot on the shoulders of 34-year-old Jarrett Jack and Ntilikina, but the Knicks do have Ron Baker, who has fallen out of the rotation this season as well as Trey Burke playing at Westchester of the G-League. He's second amongst rookies in steals per game, fifth in assists, and ranks third in the National Basketball Association in deflections per 36 minutes behind just Paul George and Thaddeus Young. And the scoring? "That's going to come", Hornacek said. I've been with him for so long now. You saw Tony Parker go down there just to get some work in. He knows how to play the game, and he enjoys it. "We're just trying to get him back to where he was". Ntilikina contributed five points and three assists off the bench.
