She is married to retired hockey player Mike Fisher and is the mother of their 2-year-old son Isaiah.

A representative speaking on her behalf stated that "On Friday night, Carrie Underwood took a hard fall" on a staircase outside of her house. "She sustained multiple injuries including a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions from the fall".

Her injury comes just days after she hosted the CMA Awards with Brad Paisley for a tenth consecutive year.

The singer's rep added that Fisher, 37, "was able to make it back into town that night to be with her and she was released from the hospital".
