It also plans to open several pop-up stores at select Whole Foods locations, where shoppers can test Alexa-enabled devices and learn about Prime memberships. Now, more than 100 stores will sell products including the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Fire TV, Kindle e-readers, and Fire tablets.
While many Whole Foods began stocking the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot immediately after its acquisition by Amazon in August, the grocery brand announced plans to expand the selection of products on Thursday.
The shops, which will be staffed by Amazon employees, open next week in Illinois, Colorado, Michigan, Florida and California.
Nearly immediately after the deal closed in August, Amazon Echo displays began appearing at strategic Whole Foods locations around the U.S. They sometimes even sported tongue-in-cheek signs that called the devices "farm fresh" and "pick of the season" - a nod to Whole Foods' focus on healthy, fresh food.

This is not the first time Amazon has leveraged its Whole Foods footprint following the acquisition.
Amazon said Thursday it will sell its full line of electronics at more than 100 supermarkets this holiday season, including tablets, e-readers, home assistants, and televisions. Amazon likes to use its brick-and-mortar stores as marketing fronts for its gadgets, and execs said on an earnings call last week to expect to see more of Amazon's influence creeping into the stores.
"I suspect we'll see Prime prices or other benefits coming to Whole Foods customers soon", she told CNN Tech.
"Whole Foods Market and Amazon will together continue innovating to provide customers with a great shopping experience, in-store offerings, and lower prices", Amazon said in a press release today.
