Lagos police arrest Davido in murder probe

In a bid to distance himself from the death of Tagbo Umeike, embattled pop star Davido has released video evidence that shows the two friends leaving the nightclub where they had been partying, separately.

In case you missed the latest development: the acting Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal during a press briefing Wednesday afternoon, noted that an autopsy was conducted revealing that the late Tagbo was suffocated, and he added that Davido has been re-invited for questioning.

Nigerian actress, Caroline Danjuma, had accused Davido of Tagbo's death, claiming the singer and his crew abandoned the body at a certain General Hospital in Lagos and absconded.

However, after unrelated details in Gutierrez's past reportedly began to emerge, Vance's office decided not to file any charges. Ossorio said this wasn't the first time she was perplexed by the DA's decision not to prosecute a sex crime suspect.

Meanwhile, DJ Olu another friend of Davido that passed on recently is slated for burial on Thursday, October 12, 2017. For this reason, I have instructed the DPO Lion Building and the investigating team to again invite Davido and question him in line with these new findings.

Our client was also not involved in the untimely death of the deceased, nor did he give any instructions to anyone to "dump" the corpse of Mr Tagbo Umeike anywhere. Two other associates of the singer, DJ Olu, 25, and Chime Amaechi, were found lifeless in the former's BMW vehicle parked in the underground garage of Block B, Banana Island, Lagos on Saturday, three days after Tagbo's death. The bar tender confirmed the deceased had as much as 40 stots of Tequila and exhibited signs of drunkenness. The vehicle was recovered from Davido's residence at 7, Awoshika Street, Lekki Phase 1. "The interim autopsy report stated that the victim died of Asphyxia".
