Facebook gets real about broadening virtual reality's appeal
The new VR device is developed to be more compact, more powerful graphics, along with cameras that will use inside-out tracking. The conference also became a witness of the launch of Oculus for Business , which is a professional Rift bundle for businesses.
The Darth Vader version goes on preorder October 10th in the US for about $800, and it comes with Wi-Fi connectivity and its own remote. Both models also offer fun and unique sound effects appropriate for each character. For example, when powering on the Darth Vader unit, the vacuum will play and mimic the character's infamous breathing.
Each cleaner has suction capacity power of 10W. This means from a smartphone you can start or stop the machine, schedule cleaning times, and check the cleaning history. A sensor ensures that the robot vacuum will clean around personal items as small as 10 mm. As part of the launch, Samsung will also introduce its "Vacuum Your Space" video which is created by Star Wars super fans.
The Darth Vader and Stormtrooper models have been priced at $799 and $699 respectively. Users can control the device from their smartphones, as well as issue voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. They are available for pre-order from Samsung's website today and will be released on November 5th.
