Manchester United eyeing Martial-Rakitic swap with Barcelona

And bookmakers Betfair have responded by pricing Arsenal as 8/1 favourites to sign the 22-year-old when the transfer window reopens in January.

According to the Guardian the Frenchman will be swapped for Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic as Jose Mourinho seeks to strengthen United's midfield.

Martial has enjoyed a mixed time of things since joining United from Monaco in 2015 as he excelled during his debut campaign when he scored 17 goals under former boss Louis van Gaal. Manchester Evening News report that Martial "is understood to be 'very content' at United after making an electric start to his second season".

If Mauricio Pochettino does allow Rose to leave the club though, he must issue United and Mourinho with an ultimatum, by demanding both Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw in exchange for the talented left-back.

Manchester Evening News claim that the France worldwide is "very content" at United following his barnstorming start to the campaign.

Air Berlin says talks with easyJet continue
While it conducted the negotiations, Air Berlin's planes were kept in the air by a government loan of 150 million euros. Air Berlin said late last month that negotiations with Lufthansa and easyJet would continue until October 12.

And Martial, 21, could be another player to move after starting just ONE game in the Premier League this season under Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese boss is apparently a huge admirer of the Croatia global and is willing to take a huge financial loss on Martial in order to sign him.

Speaking of Martial last month, Mourinho said: "If you want just a word [to describe Martial], it's "happiness".

"I see a great improvement in the person [Martial], in the mood, in the face, in the body language".

"He goes from the bench, even if it is for 10 minutes like in the last match at home, he tries to enjoy and try to give something in these extra minutes".
