Android Video Calling Just Got Much Simpler

In Contacts, next to your contact's name, the option to make a Duo video call will surface. But, Google did not succeed well in bringing the Google Duo into the mainstream smartphone users, so that they had aired a lot of Ads over Television, Internet and even via Billboards. With that in mind, video calls are becoming an integrated feature of the Android experience.

If both the caller and the recipient are on a carrier that supports ViLTE video calling, the calls will be routed through the carrier's ViLTE service.

The new move by the company essentially ties Duo app deeper into the Android ecosystem, and follows similar integration into the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, as expected.

New York Jets: Upcoming opponent is not what it used to be
The Patriots and the Jets now share a third of first place in the division, as both teams are tied with the Buffalo Bills at 3-2. Elijah McGuire might be in store for a big day too against a putrid Patriots run defense and with Bilal Powell battling injury.

From within the phone app, you'll be able to initiate a video call from the call history or search.

This means the Nexus 5 is not eligible for it, but the Android One, Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will get it. Calls can be made to contacts through your Android Phone, Contacts and Android Messages apps. The DUo Integration update for other carriers and OEMs will be rolled out by the end of the Year, says Google.
