Demi Lovato Gets Real About Drugs, Dating & Depression in 'Simply Complicated' Trailer

I'm coming up on five-and-a-half years of sobriety. And multiple people, good friend Nick Jonas included, spoke about the 2010 incident where Demi punched one of her backup dancers and gave them a black eye.

Lovato's new documentary, Simply Complicated, premieres October 17 on YouTube. "And that's the best I can do". When she was 18 years old, the "Body Say" singer entered a rehab facility to seek treatment for several issues, including depression, self-harm, bulimia, and substance abuse.

"Just before the album release, the singer revealed the launch date for her documentary and tweeted, "#SimplyComplicated has been a long time in the making & is so special to me". From feeling at her most vulnerable to discovering her new found confidence, the personal documentary will show us every side of the vocal powerhouse. "Demi was on a road to, like, suicide".
