Ravens get booed for kneeling before anthem, stand during it

The team's decision to kneel without the song playing drew boos from the crowd at M&T Bank Stadium.

"Before the anthem, an announcement was made in the stadium for everyone to pray as a nation to embrace kindness, justice, unity and equality".

Baltimore Ravens lost 44-7 in London to the (2-1) Jacksonville Jaguars as it was nearly a blowout in the 1st half. The Jacksonville Jaguars' Shad Khan was the first owner to join his players before the game, standing arm-in-arm with them.

Demonstrations continued for a second week following President Trump's criticism of players who kneel during the anthem.

The protest has tapered off this week, as owners request their players to stand and fans increasingly show their displeasure with athletes who follow the movement begun by Colin Kaepernick, who cited racism to explain why he would not stand for the anthem.

Trump last weekend launched a series of tweets calling for National Football League owners to fire players who do not stand during the anthem and urging the National Football League to implement a rule banning players from kneeling.
