Neymar scores first PSG penalty since Cavani bust-up

Neymar's start to life at Paris Saint-Germain reached new heights as he scored a sensational free-kick five minutes into Saturday's victory over Bordeaux.

Younousse Sankhare pulled one back for the visitors as PSG switched off in defence, but Neymar, Julian Draxler and Kylian Mbappe extended the hosts' lead prior to Malcom's late penalty.

PSG, who crushed Bayern Munich 3-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday, have 22 points from eight games to Monaco's 19 after the principality side were held to a 1-1 home draw by Montpellier on Friday. Seeing off third place Bordeaux in fine fashion has proved that they mean business this season.

In what could have been a tricky encounter against the top flight's only other unbeaten team prior to kick-off, PSG were three to the good inside 21 minutes at Parc des Princes - Neymar, Edinson Cavani and Thomas Meunier on the scoresheet.

Cubs' Arrieta to miss final regular-season start
Games 3 and 4 of the series are set for October 9 and 10 at Wrigley Field, and Arrieta will likely get one of those starts. At this point, Maddon said the Cubs feel confident Arrieta will be able to pitch in the NLDS.

Deportivo had lost three of its last four league matches and Spanish media said club directors had already made a decision to fire coach Pepe Mel if the team didn't win Saturday's home game.

"We can play better", said PSG full-back Meunier.

Two weeks after Cavani and Neymar argued over who would take a penalty, there was no discussion when PSG were awarded a spot kick in the 40th minute following Otavio's handball. He wasted his penalty, however, chipping the ball into Hitz's hands.

PSG then won their penalty, with the Brazilian stepping up to score and immediately celebrating with Cavani.
